That is correct. You do not get to sign the 140 as it is has to be applied by the employer. You however, have to sign your approved Labor which will be attached to the 140 application.

Yes, you can attach your spouse even after approval IF the PD is current. If there's retrogression, and PD is not current, you cannot do that.
However, for "follow-to-join", PD needs not be current. That's what I know. Please correct if wrong. And "follow-to-join" is via Consular Processing, so needs to go back home.

Dude, not sure what your question is.. Earlier you said your transfer is already in process so why this question?
Anyway, if I understand your question correctly then here is the answer:
1. Look for a new job
2. Once you have a new job offer, have that new company sponsor your H1. Practically it is like filing for a new H1.. The only difference is that you use the old visa #, hence you are not subjected to annual cap (which as is does not matter now days).
3. For the transfer have an attorney file for your case. You can do it either normal process, which takes 6 to 9 months (or use to take that much time) or apply under premium process, which takes 15 days. Under normal process you can start working with the company once you have the transfer notice, which comes in 10-15 days (note, this is not approval, just a notice stating that USCIS received your case).
As far as pay stubs are concerned, just give what you have.. On the side note, see if your old employer can give you a letter stating you are on unpaid leave. This will surly buy you some time.

One piece of advice might be to go for something much less expensive first, to see if you actually like digital photography - the second hand prices are pretty abysmal for these things, so unless you think you are a really good salesman when it comes to selling your old stuff on E-bay or such, it would be less of a risk to you to get either a used P&S or a new, less expensive model.
There are many things that make a difference between a DSLR and a "Advanced P&S" (Pro-sumer P&S or whatever you like to call the category that the Sony ends up in). But in the end, there's only a few of those that actually show in the photos:
1. noise levels - the smaller sensor on the P&S (about half the size compared to the DSLR) means more noise in the picture, especially at high ISO [when you take pictures in rather dark circumstancs].
2. The flexibility in focal length - the P&S has a fixed optical system, you can't really change it [yes, you can buy extra lenses to screw on the front and such, but it's really not that great]. This shows up, usually, more at the wide-angle end than on the telephoto end. The Sony here has a 31-465mm equivalent lens. That's pretty good, but 31mm is on the "narrow end of wide-angle", and you don't really have much choice to fix that. 465mm is plenty for most people.
It's your money, so you spend it as you like :)

To me it sounds more like a battery problem. Either making a poor contact or the battery itself is bad. There could be something preventing good contact, either the battery or the contacts inside the camera.
I know with Canon cameras, there is always some sort of hidden switch that shuts off the camera when a door is opened. Maybe Nikon has this too and the switch is messed up?

However in this case, I don't even think that selling iPhone apps, constitutes employment. Here is an extreme example : What if I wrote an app and put it on the Apple store and specified that all financial proceeds should go to the OP, without me deriving any kind of labor or tangible benefit from him (a donation of sorts) ? Would that be employment ? If that is considered employment and is illegal then I believe that the OP does not have a case.

How long have you been on H1? Can you find a new job and transfer your H1 to a new employer? Your employer is legally bound to pay you the salary listed in LCA for H1. You do need to show evidence that you worked for your employer.
Collect all evidence that you can about your employment, salary, contracts, etc. Have copies of timesheets, all email correspondence, pay stubs, any written evidence about how your employer did or did not pay you. Keep evidence of you actually working during the time, copies of approved timesheets would be very helpful.
I am not sure how much money is in question here, but I would talk to a good attorney who understands immigration law as well as employment law in your state. Labor laws differ slightly from state to state. What state are you from?

My situation is some what like you. In my father passport for place of birth one letter was missed. My father from his birth time onwards he is staying in that place. so present address and permanent address both are that village only.
Is it needed to correct that missing letter of village name for the place of birth in passport ? i am planning to apply for visitor visa for them soon. Does anyone have any idea about this process of corrrection in india and how long it might take.
If not needed while filling the forms for palce of birth how i have to mention like same in passport or the correct name of village ? If i need to mention the addresses like present or permanent how i have to mention the village name please reply so that i can do that.

I have done some research on the issue and spoke with one or two friends who came across this kind of scenarios. You can correct the details in the passport which I bet will be lengthy and time consuming OR correct the Birth Certificate which will be little easier as compared to the first one. If not fill the VISA related forms with the information you have in the passport and take an affidavit to explain the difference in place of birth in passport and birth certificate.
In my case my mothers name is different in the passport and birth certificate and I have taken an affidavit indicating that they are one and the same person. They will be going for VISA this week and I hope things should go well...

Are you considering actually stopping people from creating something in AS1? As you probably know anyway, AS2 is compiled to AS1 anyway, so a decision to limit entrants to only AS2 and AS3 would be totally arbitrary. :P

you guys are missing the point. contest rules have to be followed to the letter because they are a legal contract. if the rules state that the parents have to be legal residents then that's the way it is. if they decide to change the rules for the next contest due to political pressure , fine. but now they are opening themselves up to lawsuits for not following their own contract. i think it's funny how so many people are in favor of breaking the law as long as it suits their agenda. oh wait these are all people in favor of people breaking the law to come to america illegally. correct me if i'm wrong.

If you don't get your EAD renewal card you should stop working. Because it is illegal.
I understand that and have no problem in taking a gap for few days. So all I need to do is ask my employer not to pay me for the period? Will that be enough for uscis and IRA?
